Approved Applications
A total of $6,697.00 was awarded to low income individuals for dental expenses.

Three families were awarded a total of $1,658.90 to assist with making their homes handicap accessible.

Mid-Missouri Outdoor Dream received $500 to assist with providing handicap accessible bedding for disabled individuals and disabled veterans.

The Special Learning Center was awarded $2,500 to assist with providing playground equipment and supplies for the infant/toddler play area.

One family and two individuals were awarded a total of $5,461.94 to assist with medical expenses as a result of catastrophic medical needs.

A total of $24,933.58 was collected from the Change for Life program during the second quarter of 2014.


January – March 2014

There were 19 applications reviewed in the first quarter of 2014
16 – Individual or Family applications – 15 approved for a total of $33,141.85
3 – Organization or Agency applications – 1 approved for a total of $5,000.00

Approved Applications were:
A total of $17,013.00 was awarded to low income individuals for dental expenses.

A total of $9,984.50 was awarded to individuals or families with catastrophic or special medical needs.

Family residing in Franklin County received $5,000 to replace items in the home due to a catastrophic event.

Family residing in Gasconade County received $1,144.35 to assist with building a fence for a child with special needs.

The Food Bank of Central & Northeast Missouri received $5,000 to assist with the Buddy Pack program which provides food to children in need.

Individual residing in Osage County was awarded $2,500 to assist with dental expenses. 

Osage Caring Projects received $5,000 to purchase toys and clothing for their 2013 Christmas Wish Program. 

Family residing in Gasconade County was awarded $5,000 to assist with medical expenses for several family members.

Individual residing in Gasconade County was awarded $2,500 to assist with dental expenses.

Miller County Child Advocacy Council received $2,500 to purchase toys and clothing for their 2013 Holiday of Hope Christmas Program.

Family residing in Miller County received $5,000 to assist with medical expenses for both husband and wife.

Individual residing in Cole County received $2,500 to assist with medical expenses.

Individual residing in Cole County was awarded $2,500 to assist with medical expenses.

Individual residing in Maries County was awarded $370 to purchase prescription glasses.

Individual residing in Cole County received $1,065 to assist with dental expenses.

Individual residing in Maries was awarded $1,862 to assist with dental expenses.

Disabled individual residing in Osage County received $187.42 to purchase wheelchair batteries.

Family residing in Miller County was awarded $2,984.22 to assist with medical expenses for several family members including a disabled child.

Individual residing in Gasconade County received $342 to assist with dental expenses.

Individual residing in Maries County received $1,844 to assist with dental expenses.

Individual residing in Osage County was awarded $890 to assist with replacing hearing aids.

Family residing in Osage County received $1,950 to assist with funeral expenses for adult daughter who died suddenly.

Family residing in Franklin County was awarded $5,000 to assist with medical and dental expenses for two family members.

 

Osage County Community Living was awarded $2,000 to assist with the expenses of providing a one-day Autism Workshop in Osage County.

Family residing in Moniteau County received $3,000 to assist with replacing items due to a house fire.

The Special Learning Center in Jefferson City was awarded $5,000 to assist with purchasing specialized equipment, testing tools and supplies.

Husband and wife residing in Cole County were awarded $3,700 to assist with medical and dental expenses.

Family residing in Osage County was awarded $5,000 to assist with medical and dental expenses.

Heartland Independent Living Center in Owensville was awarded $5,000 to assist with purchasing adaptive equipment for their loan program for disabled individuals.
