The purpose of Three Rivers' Helping Hands Community Foundation is to:
- assist individuals with catastrophic illness or other special medical need;
- assist with disaster relief for those whose homes have been damaged or destroyed by fire, tornado, or other natural or man-made catastrophic event;
- assist community service providers in their efforts to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods and communities;
- assist emergency service providers in their efforts to improve the service and support for their community's health, safety and well-being.
Change for Life is the program name of the Foundation. Electric bills for participating members are automatically rounded up to the nearest dollar and the small amount of change rounded up is put into the Foundation.
The maximum amount that could be rounded up on any account is 99 cents, for a possible but unlikely annual maximum of $11.88. The average amount is expected to be about 50 cents a month or $6.00 a year.
This program is completely voluntary and members have the option of withdrawing from participation at any time by contacting us.
If you wish to withdraw from participation in the Change for Life program, send an e-mail to email@example.com. Members who withdraw from the program may re-enroll at any time also by contacting us.
