Three Rivers Electric Cooperative promotes the ground source heat pump (GSHP) because of its low cost of operation, safety, and comfort. A GSHP will also save you money on water heating costs. While a GSHP system is costly to install, your savings on heating/cooling costs and water heating costs still make it the best system available. To assist members with installing a ground source heat pump, Three Rivers developed a loan program and offers a rebate. |
The rebate for the installation of a GSHP is $300 per ton of unit installed. Proper sizing of a GSHP is very important. A cooperative representative will size your new or existing home at no charge or the installed size must be approved by the Cooperative. The installation of the GSHP must be complete and a representative of Three Rivers will need to inspect the installation before the member receives the rebate check.
